Despite the long list of top hotel brands scattered throughout Downtown Toronto, finding a hotel that can give a memorable and personalized experience can be a bit difficult. Fortunately, Shangri-La Hotel Toronto has transported its signature brand of service and unique style to The Big Smoke. Sophistication, warmth, glamour, and comfort– sensations you’ll experience as you stroll through the revolving doors and into the hotel’s handsome lobby. In the stylish lobby, a beautiful marble fireplace and display of traditional Chinese porcelain serves as the backdrop for the mix of guests and locals enjoying afternoon tea.
After dark, the lobby at Shangri-La is unequivocally THE place to be– live music, mixology, and tales from the financial heartbeat of Toronto mingle throughout the dinner hours. Bosk, the hotel restaurant, offers an elegant and tasteful fine dining experience for dinner, and a thoughtful breakfast experience that sets the right tone to tackle the corporate world or lap up the sights and shops of the city Centre.
The One Bedroom Deluxe Suite we stayed in is a refined space offering plush comforts, high grade finishes, and familiar Shangri-La – dark wood, neutral tones, rich marble, and telltale Asian inspiration are present in every inch of the room.
It’s clear that no expense has been spared, and that your pure comfort and convenience were top of mind when Shangri-la crafted their rooms.
If you don’t have time for a bath, make time. Be daring and keep the blinds up as you sink into the deep and oversized tub and gaze out on the glass menagerie of the downtown skyline.
As if the room isn’t respite enough, the gym, pool, and spa are fully appointed and equipped for the poolside lounger or the disciplined fitness fanatic.
A perfect dose of decadence with a tinge of Asian hospitality, Shangri-La Hotel Toronto offers the standard high-level of service and comfort the chain has become known for.
WHAT WE LOVE
- Adult crowd. Shangri-La Toronto appeals to the adult crowd. An urban setting, appealing to discerning tastes, it’s almost a state of mind.
- Beautiful, spacious rooms. We stayed in their One-bedroom deluxe suite and it was massive. We also had a view of the CN Tower.
- Indoor Heated Pool. You can still do your laps even during winter.
