BALI: CONRAD NUSA DUA

THE PROPERTY
Whenever we’re in Bali, we usually stay near Seminyak to be close to Bali’s nightlife mecca. This recent trip, we got invited to a wedding in the southern part of Bali, Nusa Dua– Nusa Dua, meaning ‘two islands’ in Bahasa, is an enclave for big five-star resort chains and is more quiet compared to Seminyak or Kuta.
The Conrad Bali is synonymous to luxury holidaying in Bali. The expansive resort is situated along the white-sand beach of Nusa Dua which stretches the eastern edge of the island.
The main lobby boasted high vaulted ceilings and openness that flows out on to the balcony overlooking the main pool.
We stayed in one of their suites– Our suite was a whopping 110 sqm of extravagance which included a kitchen, a living area, a balcony, 2 queen sized beds(we wanted 1 King sized bed, but the hotel was fully booked), and a massive bathroom with a tub.
For honeymooners, couples or individuals who want some peace and quiet, the Conrad Bali has an adults-only pool.
It’s especially beautiful during the day against the lush greenery.
The resort has 3 swimming pools: The main pool, the Suites’ adults only pool, and the spa pool.
Now, the spa pool can only be accessed if you get a spa treatment or stay in one of the resort’s specialty suites or villas.
Bliss becomes you when you get a traditional Balinese Lulur, a bodyscrub and mask, at Jiwa Spa. The treatments they offer makes Jiwa Spa truly a wellness destination. Facilities include 9 treatment rooms, 2 spa villas, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, whirlpool, cold plunge pool, as a fitness center.
Our stay at the Conrad Bali was nothing short of amazing. For beach bliss that combines luxury holidaying with sea, sand, and sun, there is no better place to be in Nusa Dua.
HERMIT TIPS:
The property is huge. If you’re a couple and would want a more quiet area of the resort, book their Suites or Villa which is more quiet and private.
If you’re booked in one of the Suites or Villas, you get to enjoy a complimentary afternoon cocktails and canapes at the lounge.
Conrad Bali has a beautiful chapel that is an architectural masterpiece perfect for weddings.
